Wont charge

My nexus 7 has decided to not charge today. When I turn it off and plug it in I get the battery icon but nothing seems to happen. The charger and cable are fine as they work great with my phone.

I did do the software update yesterday - could that be the issue?

Correction - it IS charging when turned off. This has to be a software issue. Suggestions?

256 views and no thoughts guys?

As an update, I left it off overnight and got a full charge, but the tablet still doesn't appear to be charging when I plug the charger in when it's on.

From what I can see, this is different to some of the other charge issues mentioned here because I have no problem getting the charge when I plug it in. The issue is when it's on. I'd like it if someone has some thoughts here because I shouldn't have to power this thing off whenever I want to charge it. I wonder if I should roll back the update?

Thought id bump this to see if there were thoughts. Still the same issues guys - help?

Are you using the phone charger? Phone chargers aren't powerful enough to charge the N7 when it is on. Use the charger supplied with the N7 which has twice the power.
