Wont open word files from internet.

Hi everyone..
When someone sends me a word file on facebook, i click on it and it says :
'Cant open file, please try saving the file on the device and then opening it. '
The weird thing is: it works when chrome is not the default browser.. I have tried reinstalling fb, messenger, word, chrome, modifying their permissions and nothing has worked so far... This thing worked perfecty on all my previous phones including the s6.

Only microsoft word..

A bit late to the party but a workaround is to download the file, open Word and then open the file through Word itself.
