Won't stop synching!!!

Got my 4g last night, (1st android phone), and was told it might take a bit to sync. Left it overnight, it did the OTA update this morning. The phone then worked for a bit, but now its back to synching? Won't let me do anything with the phone, including won't open the dialer. Frustrated to not have a working phone! Suggestions?

Google is experiencing a server issue and is working on it. Just be patient as this happens usually when new technology is launched due to the influx of users.
