WOO!!!HOOO!!! after calling 30 stores ...

I was able to land a Droid Charge at Target !!! Pics to come. I fought with verizon to take back my bunk thunderbolt after having received 2 new ones that still didnt work. It was a battle, the store wanted no part of the return but tech support was willing to take it back even after the store refused, even after Tech support instructed them to do so they still refused. So they told me to mail it back and I got the refund !! So now the hunt was ON !! I called all over the place probably 7 different Best Buys and the closest 7 Targets. Some had the Samsung in stock but where told not tell sell, which I knew full well. So my last call was to a Target about 50 miles away .. the kid said they had one in stock and the manager... who turned out to be a cute 20ish chick said they would hold it for me but they closed in a litte less than 2 hours! So I tried to asked a few question and it sounded like she had no idea it wasn't supposed to be sold yet... so I hopped it the truck and away I went....fast ! I get there about 25 minutes before close and she runs it all though and I think I'm home free until she doesn't know when to enter the sim card number on her computer screen...oh no no ! She makes a call to someone who tells her where to enter it and as she's talking I can hear this guy saying something about it shouldnt be sold yet... NO NO NO ! So she walks over to the display model and the description card is dated something like 5\8 - 5/28 so as shes telling this to whoever is on the phone I guess she convinces him that its ok so its back ON !!!!
After she gets it all in and turned on it wouldn't activate for like 10 minutes so we pull the battery and restart ... VIOLA !!! Its ALIVE !!!!

Not yet probably tonight...(Friday)... does the Semi Auto root have the UNROOT feature ? I'd like to be able to unroot should { i pray to the good lord} I'd have to return. I'd think I'd be sick :-!:-[

dude thats awesome! Congrats on the new device. :D

But my issue is not with you but there have been a few stories of people being able to purchase and activate these devices and they work so why the hell wont verizon release it yet? i mean theres clearly no flaw with the devices or there would have been a recall the LTE network went back up like 2 weeks ago? (playstation could learn from them)

SO COME ON!!!!! WHATS THE HOLD UP?!?!?!?!?!:mad:
 
I'm still on the fence, and waiting to see what the Sammy announcement is on 5/24. IF the SGS2 is coming shortly after and IF the wife approves me to move one line over I may get it. I would like to stay with Verizon and honestly this phone does hold my interest but if it only had some more internal storage, more than a 1GB.
 
LOL! This guy was so excited about getting the phone early, spent all that time and gas, then paid an extra $50 for the phone. That's a shame, cause it looks like the Charge is hitting the shelves tomorrow. It may not bother you too much, but I'm the type of person who would be very annoyed if I were in that situation.:-[

yea its true it sucks now we know it drops tomorrow but it could have easily been another week lol

Money is the least of my worries.
 
Sometimes its worth it in the end. I thought the ThunderBolt was worth it until the problems began, and I realized you can't read the darn screen outdoors. Still its not like he paid $1000 some someone is asking on eBay under a Buy It Now sale. Seriously who is going to pay that much.

You'd be surprised. There's a lot of suckers out there, as well as plenty of people with money to burn.
