Worked on Write on PDF app all night, PDF gone next morning. How can I get it back?

Worked on Write on PDF app all night, PDF gone next morning

I remember downloading the file last night before using it in Write on PDF app but I can't find the file.

I did Save from the app itself numerous times, and the download is in Download History but I can't find the pdf anywhere on the phone! In download history it says to click download again (I can't), or to remove as the file no longer exists...

After Saving numerous times yesterday from the WriteonPDF app I also clicked to open it numerous times, because they close the file everytime I hit Save...

I don't get it, it must be somewhere in the phone after working on it that long???

When I try to download the same file from the internet it again shows it has downloaded and shows in Download History, but can't be opened from D.H.

Welcome to the forums. Is there anything in My Files that could be the one you are looking for?

You could use my files and search for pdf to narrow your search or the file name if you know what it is. Pdf search should show all files of that type on phone.

thanks, but no, I have checked My Files numerous times, the pdf isn't there and it is easy to identify because it is a random internet name. The file is still seen in Download History though, as are the 2 same pdfs I tried to download again today from the same link, but which won't show in any other folder. And when I click from Download History, it says file can't be opened. Has been renamed or moved or deleted.

Don't happen to have ccleaner do you? On one of the settings it'll delete downloaded files/documents/pictures. If it's running automatically, then....

Using the app Write On PDF, mine didn't save as a pdf. I had to open it and find it from the app. Then it gave it some weird name. Not even close to the same. I don't know what happened. Maybe that happened to yours?

yes I did try to find the missing pdf from the Write on PDF app itself as well, but that didn't work. It wasn't there. It is still there in download history though. I'd saved it several times from there, and as mentioned newer downloads of the same file can't be accessed either, and they too are in Download History.

as for other files I've edited using the app, it's actually never changed the title of the files, in my experiences.

This might be a long shot. Open S Finder that is included in the settings and tools that can be revealed by sliding 2 fingers down from the top of the screen. Then type in some minimal content that you would expect in the missing file. Press search and see what happens.

I'd also check in photos, you never know, it might be there.
