Working with non Samsung phone

Hi folks. Currently have 2 Michael Kors Grayson watches and a Huawei one. Starting to show their age so wanted something new.
I have a pixel 6 phone but do not fancy the pixel watch.
Seen a great deal for the Samsung pro 5 and have ordered one with delivery due shortly.
I know there are some things don't work with non Samsung phones and know there are a few workarounds to get the ecg and blood pressure reading to work.
Anyone here using the pro 5 with a non Samsung phone, what are your thoughts?. Would you still recommend it?

I use it with my Pixel 7 pro and my OP10 Pro and the things that do not work I don't use anyways so I'd personally recommend it.

I have a Pixel 5 phone and this watch works great with it. The workarounds you mentioned are not too difficult, should you want to use the watch for BP and ECG. WearOS system works great with my phone. Other than Samsung Pay, I don't know of anything else that doesn't work with a Pixel phone.

Have either of you tried the Google health connect app that syncs data between Samsung and Google fit.

Haven't tried that. I try to limit the number of accounts I sign up for and am OK sticking with Samsung health.
