I use Garmin Connect to sync workout data from my Forerunner 645, and it syncs to Strava so I can share activities with friends who don’t own Garmin devices. You can also use Strava to track activities directly from the phone, but I find that carrying a phone while running is a bit of a pain.
I also use MyFitnessPal to track calories and manage my weight.
For running I use the S3 Frontier. Not as good as the Garmins but I don't need that level of accuracy. And carrying this phone would not be easy LOL if you were running. The bike ride went very well the app work flawlessly with this phone

If I could pair an external HR strap with a Galaxy Watch, I’d probably ditch the Garmin. Optical HR sensors aren’t accurate enough to replace chest straps.
I've found S Health to be great. I use it paired with my S3 Frontier and couldn't be happier.
