Worth Getting a 6p?

Hello all, I currently have a s6 edge and I get a new phone upgrade around march-aprilish and was wondering if I should get a 6p, pixel or v20. I love the 6p's design, and one of my friends at uni has it and it feels amazing to hold. The thing is right now it is a year old and I am not sure how well it will hold up for the next two years when i upgrade. I was thinking the v20 because of the size, but the pixel does peek my interest because of the camera and os speed, but 5.5 inches is sorta small imo.

I love my 6p. I bought it last April and decided not to upgrade to a pixel for now. I just like this device too much.

6P. I came from a Galaxy S6 but my 6P is my best ever phone by a country mile...broke the screen on my original 6P...bought another straight away and got a replacement screen for the original so I`m well covered! My Missus is a real Apple fan and would never budge from ios...until she tried my 6P that is...she got her 6P last week and gave it a personal score of 11/10!! Nothing comes close to the experience of pure android, plus there are some real bargains to be had.If she`d bought an iphone 7+ it would have cost around £700 here in the UK whereas her 6P was only £345...Bargain!

The 6p and MXPE are still relevant with 5.7 inch displays and both will give you that Pure Android experience. Also at 5.7 inches, the V10 and V20 phones are really good, but not quite "Pure Android". The Pixel line disappointed me with the bigger bezels and higher price, but it's still Pure Android and an upgrade to the Nexus 6p/5x.

I have the 6p and it's in fine shape at just over a year old. If I had to buy a new phone today, I would go back to Motorola. I had the Moto X 2014 before the 6p, but sold it to my brother. My only gripe was bad battery life. Otherwise, it was sharp, snappy and had an excellent AMOLED display.

Take a look at the new Moto Z Play. It is a midrange phone at $400-450 dollars, but it is optimized well and has been noted to have the best battery life right now! You can also purchase Moto mods like the JBL SoundBoost, Hasselblad True Zoom, Incipio Power Pack, Insta-Share Projector and Moto Style Shells.

Here's a good review on it...

Hmm I might look into the Z Play a bit more. But do you guys think the 6p camera will hold because I am an amateur photographer and I want a phone that can take pictures as well as the s6 till I can get a real camera.

I think by the time April rolls around you'll have other devices to consider - that's far enough after MWC that the new phones announced there should be on the market.

I saw a review on the Pixel which is 300 more I believe. Aside from it one gig of ram they are the exact phones. It's not worth the extra 300. Get the 6p. I came from a Moto Z Force and it was very similar to the 6p. I have tried all the phones and for the money the 6p wins hands down. You will not regret it at all getting the 6p. It's my favorite device out of both apple and Android. It's sad to know they won't be offering a flagship spec phone anymore for 400 dollars. The Pixel compared to the 6p real world you would not tell much of a difference. 300 is a lot to pay extra for when you get the same specs with the 6p for 400.

In my opinion, the 6p is a better camera than the s6

I came from the S6 (and G4) and the one area I was skeptical about was the camera performance of 6P compared to those 2 devices. I've owed the 6P since June and I gotta say the camera has been much better than I expected especially missing ois. The 6P more often than the S6 takes a great picture on the first try.

The camera is even better on Nougat 7.1.1 beta, probably the fastest shutter I've used on a phone.

Ya I had 7.1.1 but reverted as I didn't want to be beta. With that said the shutter speed did improve without HDR, with HDR+ it's still somewhat slow but improved.

Agreed, not as fast in HDR & HDR + but great for fast shooting in normal mode👍

.....but I forgot to mention I use normal mode quite a bit to catch my 2year old Granddaughter while she's on the move! 1478464866688.jpg
