Worth it?

The maxx is a good phone, but the battery makes it awesome! It would be tough to argue that there is a better phone on vzw right now. Yeah the Nexus has ics, but the battery and radio doesn't compare to Moto. I will admit though that there are some small things I miss about my old Tbolt and the Sense UI, but not enough to even think about going back. My wife has the 1st gen Razr and gets very jealous of my awesome battery life lol.

Run Go Launcher on it for the ultimate customizability and you’ll never look back at Blur. Its free and the Go Team has an unlimited amount of free options. Had a Tbolt first, within 14days moved to a Samsung Charge with that lousy Touch Wiz, loaded Go Launcher and never missed Sense again Now have it on my super fast, super smooth Maxx and happier than ever.

After one week I am very happy. This is a beautiful device; so thin I'm almost afraid to handle it yet i can hardly put it down. I just got an Otterbox Commuter so i feel better now.

There's no app lag so far. I have gotten 23.5Mb down/13Mb up on speed test but usually much slower. I'm still thrown off by the buttons, coming from the DX. I keep hitting the power button thinking it's volume.

The speech recognition is MUCH improved; nearly always gets it right the first time. I just need to get root so I can restore some app data.

You can get free wifi hotspot on your Razr Maxx without rooting. Check out my thread below...it's easy as pie.

Perfect! Thanks for that link. I'll be sure to do that once I get it! I appreciate all the input guys I'm finally updating this thursday and I CAN"T WAIT!!! I'm going to root and reinstall my apps and app data from my DX then get the wi-fi tether up and I"ll be all set!!

Okay, so I need a little help here. I went ahead and ordered the Maxx, it will be here monday. But I need to know how to do three things:
1) How do I root it?
2) How do I unroot it (it looks like it will be getting ICS soon and I want it unrooted when it releases to update then re-root afterward, unless there is an easier way)
3)Wifi tether with root without verizon being able to tell.

I had a hard time giving up my incredible, I could do so much with CM7. I finally caved and got the maxx. Wow I love it, I am on wifi 50 % of the time and can get about 3 days on a charge. I actually killed it in under 24 hours once but I was playing games on it for about 10 hours that day.

Do it, you won't regret it.
