My buddy wants to sell me his note 2 (only 1 day old) for $450. Is this a good deal on my part?

Yes! They are going for like $550 and up on eBay. You could sell your GS3 for like $300, unless you want to and can afford to keep both (that's what I would do).

Also, I assume this "buddy" is trustworthy and didn't drop it in the toilet or something like that and didn't confess?

Same here! Add long as trustworthy and unit works well, I would jump also. Lol, just make sure he can look out for you if something goes wrong (not good to mix friends and business, but this is small).

You won't regret it, the Note 2 is the first phone I have kept for more than 2 months and still have no desire to even look at another device, much less switch to one.

I sure hope so. I switch phones often. Like every 2-4 weeks Lol

1 day old, and cheaper if you don't have an upgrade available. I sold my 4-month old, perfect-condition S3 for $400. But why is he selling it? Did he upgrade and just wants to make a profit? Is something physically wrong with it? I'd be questioning why he doesn't want to take it back for a refund??

Same here.... I wont even consider a new phone until the note 3...
