Worth the upgrade from S5?

I'm considering the Nexus 5x because I really like the stock android experience. I don't want a massive 6p. Is it worth the price to upgrade from my Galaxy S5 on Verizon to go to the 5x? The specs seem pretty similar. Not having the ability to use an SD card is kind of a bummer but I'd be able to manage.

I'll be upgrading from a Verizon S5 to the 5X which is set for delivery tomorrow. I'll try to remember to post back in a few days with my thoughts on making the switch.

I'll be using the 5X in tandem with the S5. I like the S5 (removable battery/SD card), but . . . . it lags and seizes unexpectedly . . . usually when I need something in a hurry. Also the 5X supports all the current carrier frequencies. The S5 does not (which may or may not help depending on your carrier).

Well I had a moment of weakness and ordered a 6p instead... which from everything I see is pretty much the best phone ever made.

OK so I've only been at it a day or so, but I'm really really happy with the 5X. My S5 was never slow and I didn't have lag issues. It's a good phone. There really is something to this "pure Android" experience though. I kind of thought it was just clichés and BS fanboy hype, but smooth is the only way I can describe the Nexus so far. Not necessarily in terms of performance alone, it's even more intangible than that. The whole experience just feels more polished and mature than touchwiz (go figure). It's getting a little too late for me to elaborate fully right now, but overall I'm happy I made the switch. I'll leave it at this: if you have a little money to throw around, I'd recommend swapping your S5 for a 5X.

I'm running the 5X & S5 in tandem. And the experience is not comparable. Granted I don't have all the apps on the 5X as the S5, but the 5X is quick & responsive. I like the 5X LCD display and the 5x5 home screen layout. I actually didn't think Android could be this good. Time will tell if the experience holds up.
