Worth upgrading to note2 for gaming? are all games supported at 16:9?

I just got my first android phone a samsung galaxy blaze 4g, it is prefect (except small screen). I got into gaming with it, as with other things.
I was thinking about purchasing a note 2 just for the larger screen.

I did not think I would enjoy using an adroid phone that much or I would have bought a note 2 to begin with. I can sell my blaze for close to what I paid and was thinking about the purchase of a note 2. I tried out the size of the note 2 in store and the size is no problem for me.

my concerns are.

Will all the games that work fine on my 5:3 galaxy blaze work on the note 2 with its 16:9 display?

Does the bigger screen make a huge difference when playing games on android?

Should I buy the note 2, or should I wait for the note 3 which rumors say can be released very soon?

Any other thoughts about if it is worth the hassle of selling my phone and upgrading to the note 2.

Haven't come across any that don't display full screen.

Imo, it does.

You're probably looking at least November for the note 3...?

I could start a rumor about the Note 4 if I wanted. Just get this one! 16:9 is more universal than 5:4 and better for media.

The only game I have played that is not fullscreen is Ninja Royal but the game handles this well and it is not terribly noticeable.

I have tons of games on my phone... including psx, gba, and n64 emulators...

I use mine alot for old school games as well. I just wish I could use my ps3 controller. I currently only play a handful of regular android games. Super hexagon and wheres my water are my favs. I have atleast 20 though and they all use the whole screen.

Of course people who currently own a Note 2 will tell you to get one, because they are currently enjoying that instant gratification of having the goods now.

But in your position, I would recommend waiting. Why? I've said this before and I'll say it again: the Galaxy Note 2 missed one critical element - it is using old processor tech. It should have an Exynos 5 processor, which has been worked on for the last 12 months or so.

The Note 3 on the other hand, which I would expect around fall of 2013, will most definitely have an Exynos 5. Samsung cannot continue to use their old architecture, which is whats in the Note 2, for any longer. They will be at a serious disadvantage to the competition. Hell, even the DNA is showing the signs of improved tech. That phone launched around the same time as the Note 2 and is a great deal faster and more powerful.

You especially looking to game on your phone, I would highly recommend waiting for the Note 3. The Exynos 5 is going to be incredibly fast given that the old architecture A9 is keeping pace with most modern chips. Imagine how much faster the 5 will be? Wait it out bro. It will be so worth it and when you do get that beautiful 1080p Note 3 we're all going to be jealous of you. Guaranteed.

Search for sixaxis controller on the play store. That allows you to use ps3 controllers with your Android devices.

im a HUGE gamer..... just not on a phone never could get into it

You would need the right games if not using an external controller. But the games I play mostly on the phone are the RPG games. I love the old school RPG games like final fantasy. They are making many new RPG games, just like the old school games, for the android. Even a new final fantasy was released.

So for me bringing back these old school games that I played around 20 years ago brings back alot of memories. I prefer playing the new games to using roms, because I like to progress with technology.

With RPG games you can get away without a controller and using the touch screen controls.

Read online they are making final fantasy x hd. Supposedly comes out this year for ps3. I cant wait.
