Would a later release date be so bad?

Will it be released the 17th? I remember Google saying it would hit AOSP a couple weeks after it ships.

Source comes "immediately after" the phone, and ICS pushes to the unlocked Nexus S "a few weeks after". The few carrier locked Nexus S phones will probably follow very shortly.

This date is perfect for Verizon they get to sell there locked bloated gimmick phone and release there awesome superphone just after its to late for them to return that crap.My suggestion is if you must get the Razr get it two days after launch so when you come to your senses you still have time to move over to JC's phone!
