Would like info on rooting.

Like the title says, I have no idea how to do it or what the general purpose of it is so I would lie some info and if someone can walk me thru rooting my phone I'm game. The only current root options are for 2.3.3 or to downgrade your HBOOT if you have updated to 2.3.4..
And there are still no options for rooting from a Mac.

The benefits of Rooting are, Different rom options such as Sense Debloated, AOSP, CM7, etc. Along with taking screen shots, over clocking, and access to a ton of Root enabled applications on the market.

anyway someone could give me a walkthru, and the info? i would appreciate it greatly. the inc2 is a great phone but the bloatware is killing me . also do you know how i can backup all my apps and info? sometimes i get the urge to do a factory reset but im afraid id lose all my apps ahmadveg@aim.com

If you're running 2.3.4 this is for you: [Tool] Downgrade VivoW with hboot 0.98 - xda-developers

And once on 2.3.3 you can root: [How to] Root Your DInc2 Tutorial! (2.3.3 GB Only) - xda-developers

That's all you should need.. But as some advice try doing some of you're own research before making new threads; there are tons out there already that explain it all..
