Ok, I am new droid owner who switched over from Crackberrys, I got an LG Optimus S but have come to the conclusion that an on screen only keyboard is not working for me, at least on a screen the size of the Optimus S and yes I have tried others. I can still return my Optimus to sprint and go to radio shack and get a Transform for free. I read past reviews that lead me to believe the Optimus was a better phone then the Transform due to it having Froyo and despite its hardware specs being less then the Transforms. Well now that the Transform has had the 2.2 treatment would you think that still is the case or is the Transforms 800MHz still performing slower then the LG Optimus 600MHz processor.? I do not do much gaming just little things like Angry Birds and maybe a GBA emulator. Thanks for reading my long ranty post guys, look forward to the comments/opinions.

My negatives about the Transform with Froyo:
No live wallpapers, no 3D gallery, perfomance not much quicker but alot better than before. Optimus is still a little faster.

Positives:
Messaging app doesn't take a minute to load any more and is instant, browser is much faster, Swipe, apps to SD which saved me about 40MB of internal storage, phone reboot time improved along with new boot animation, landscape on home screen, Froyo gmail and Froyo Youtube, wi-fi hotspot via Sprint Hotspot app, task manager, and that's all I can think of.

The hotspot widget doesn't seem to get mobile hotspot to work like on the Optimus but I cannot test this since my Transform has no service.

GBA and other emulators work great on the Transform and having a HW Keyboard is a BIG plus for me since I have big fingers. I think again its all about preference, but I would keep the Optimus S. The Transform is just too slow and the 2 yr old 800MHZ processor just plain SUCKS at performance.

Thanks I really am thankful for the opinion, so for GBA games it would prob be ok but say Angry Birds wouldn't work too well that's a trade off I maybe able to live with. On my Optimus Angry Birds lags pretty bad for me but Rio is perfect smooth.

Yeah the keyboard is by far better than swype/on screen only. Front facing camera + flash is great, and Angry Birds Rio actually plays a tad better on the Transform which is strange. You can look for the Angry Birds version 1.3.5 on google, I tested it and it plays ok. Hope that helps, any other ?'s just let me know.

Thanks is the camera quality about the same as the optimus, I mean they are the same mp wise but is one faster with shutter then the other or is ones pictures better then the other?

The camera quality is pretty much the same. I haven't noticed any differences in pictures. The Transform has a few extra options like scene modes which changes the lighting and a few extra color effects. Shutter speed on both are about the same as well and the skin for the camera app to. Its pretty much a basic Froyo camera app for both phones.

Landscape on home screen, meaning your home page goes sideways when you turn the phone? That would be awsome, finally! But i'm still leary about updating and having problems.

Yeah it works great, I haven't had any problems with the update yet. Of course I haven't rooted my phone so everything went well.
