Would you leave the Nexus??

My next phone will definitely be a Moto X Pure Edition or whatever is the equivalent thereof.

I would, but only for the Moto X Pure Edition.

Loving my Pure and my husband loves his Nexus 6. Got both the best in this house. :)

BTW, we're on Verizon and the N6 has Marshmallow. He just got it a couple of weeks ago - new from Verizon - and it updated to it a few hours after activation. Don't know why his got it and others haven't. ??

My #1 priority is screen size. BUT as someone who likes to own their phones till the wheels fall off I also like updates.

Nexi are guaranteed to get upgraded to the next 2 generations of android which is sweet. (the fact that my TMO Nexus 6 is now on day 48 and counting waiting on the 6.0 OTA upgrade but obviously this isn't either TMO or Google fault "for this I blame Obama";)

So the Nexus 6 with its biggest screen and stereo speakers was a dream.

Obviously I think that the 5.7" screened Nexus 6P is ludicrously small and verging on a toy instead of a tool!;)

BUT I will always look at a Nexi phablet when it comes to a new phone.

Then again battery life is my close #2 priority and LG V10's removable battery and ZeroLemon's 8500 mAh battery case that's built like a tank is really appealing.

HTC's O2 flagship for 2016 is rumored to come in 5" and 6" versions with duel speakers, 4,000 mAh battery and water proofing. That is intriguing as well.

And of course the MediaPad X2 by Huawei (importable) with its 7" screen and 5,000 mAh battery is alluring as well.

So bottom line: Nexus is always first choice BUT if Google ever drops a phablet offering then I'm gone instantly.

Phablets forever!

That mew rumored HTC phone sounds awesome. I've been wondering if another phablet HTC flagship would come about. I was actually considering to try out an HTC ONE MAX to try out android for a little while until I found out that it used a 600 series snapdragon processor and a bunch of other minor let downs such as that 4 megapixel crap HTC was trying to pull with the M7 & M8

Made a thread here years ago stating its Nexus from here on out. I'm never leaving the Nexus. Can't wait for N6 2016.

I made up my mind last year that I was going to buy a Nexus. I decided it was just too big but I really wanted it. Oddly enough it's the Nexus 6 that led me to getting the Moto X pure

It's impossible to say, if I had to buy a new phone tomorrow it would be a Nexus but in a years time when I'm due an upgrade who knows what Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC or even Apple will be offering.

I thought the reason for getting a Nexus or a Pure was quick updates without carrier interference. My experience with my N6 on VZW has proven otherwise (still no Marshmallow, November Security OTA, nor Play Store). Given warranty problems with Moto with my Pure, I am not sure if Apple is not in my future.

I picked up a N6 when they were on sale in September, and I use it on Verizon. But I didn't get the Verizon model, I bought the North American unlocked version on Amazon. Just popped a Verizon sim card in, upgraded to HD calling (it's free), and it works perfectly. No Verizon bloat, and it's already upgraded to Marshmallow.

Ask me in 2 years I've been on nexi since the galaxy nexus and just got the n6 to replace my n5...for no good reason other then the n6 was $300.

I like nexus and I like them cheap..

Not after my experience with the N6 now way I am leaving. I got exactly what I wanted with this phone and the latest update to Marshmallow had only solidified my decision.
Agreed!

Personally, my previous phone was a HTC M8. While I loved that phone, it crapped out on me, and a coworker friend of mine suggested I get the Nexus 6.

I loved the screen size and resolution. I also loved the Stereo Speakers. I was, initially, a little apprehensive about the pure Android experience vs HTC Sense. Once I got my Nexus 6, however, fell in love with the pure Android of Nexus, and now, I really don't think that I could easily go back to any 'Skinned' version of Android.

Unfortunately YES, considering leaving Nexus. Within 3 months of buying my Nexus 6 (in June) from Google, I started having issues with wifi not auto-connecting at home and Bluetooth dropping calls in the car. Now I find that wireless charging won't work as well! After three different sessions with Google customer support I'm told that they won't even consider replacing my phone with a new Nexus 6 - instead they are trying to pawn it off on Motorola!!! They decided to have Motorola build their device so they should fully back up my Google Store purchase as I didn't buy it from Motorola. Incredibly disappointed in their lack of customer service and would not recommend anyone to them if this is how they treat their customers. Simply pitiful.

An odd experience, most people I know who have bought direct from Google normally rave about their customer support. Unsure as to how it has gone wrong for you, what's their reasoning for passing you to Motorola?

All 3 of the customer service reps have been nice to deal with but the first 2 promised the would email me info or get back to me and failed to do so. With regard to Motorola, the last Google rep said I should contact them for a new phone since they were the supplier (and Google wouldn't provide same). I've patiently spent many hours following Google customer service advice & instructions to only have a "lemon" phone to show for it. And to think I also own 2 Nexus 7s as well. They are about to lose a good customer!

I would leave the Nexus for a phone on Verizon with easily unlocked bootloader, easy root, 64gb memory, removable battery, SD card slot. Any suggestions?
