Would you rather have

I prefer the Nexus 5 for the phones on that list. I bought the HTC One GPE when it was new and returned it due to the lack of Google Wallet. I already felt like I was taking a chance with the One, as I am not a fan of HTC phones right now. For it to be missing a Google feature was a dealbreaker for me.

For the Samsung Galaxy S4, I prefer the Touchwiz edition to the GPE. This may be because I had a Nexus 4 and had already planned to buy the Nexus 5. However, I do appreciate some features of Touchwiz while I appreciate other things that stock Android offers.

Ahhhh Thank you for the clarification; I am an Android Noob.

However, that still doesn't solve the SD issue, but if you got a response for that one I'm all ears.

9GB just for apps is really a lot of apps. Often pictures, music and video take up a ton of space and those can be stored on the SD card freeing up all the internal storage for apps. I hear you though which is why I opted for the 32 GB S4. The bloatware on Samsung carrier phones has gotten to be a bit much along with the size of touchwiz. I noticed the note 3 ships with 32 GB as the base model.
