Would you use your phone naked?- and actually enjoy the aluminum?

Maybe, if it was a little thicker. I got the case to add mass to the device because my hands aren't big. Plus with the Seidio Active case there grips on the sides that make it easier to hold. But I take it out whenever I'm driving in the jeep to put it in the carkit. As it won't fit with a case. So I drive with mine naked sort of. :P

I use these phones for a four or five months and then sell them on ebay. To insure the highest resale value, phone must be pristine. Case and care is a must.

i used my phone without a case for a little over a week and i dropped it off my lap onto a hardwood floor around 10 inches from the ground and it instantly scratched

I usually protect my phone for resale, but this phone is TOO gorgeous to cover it up. I'm very careful with my gadgets anyway, so I'm not too worried. And I have insurance if worse comes to worse.

I HATE having a case on my One, so I go weekends with no case, so I'm not at school with a naked phone. The only part that has concerned me about scratches is the plastic around the edges and in the little strips on the back. So far after exactly 4 weeks (Launch day buyer :D), I have a single scratch on my One. Most little specs and marks can be wiped off without much effort, though. When I had my Inspire 4G up until Feb 19th, everywhere I would put it without a case it would scratch up. So far, I've found that the One does NOT scratch easily. You should have nothing to worry about without a case except for drops (I've read that small dents and nicks on the corners can be filed off!). I think the aluminum is TOTALLY worth not having a case.

I am generally pretty rough with my phones, keeping them in my pockets, sometimes with keys and/or coins, so I do use a case and screen protector. Besides, I like the contrast of the silver speakers, screen and black case.

I have a clear silicone case for mine for when I'm at work, etc. but when I'm at home or using anywhere for an extended time I take it out, let it breath and enjoy the premium feel.
