Wow...Is it Incredible?

Amazon has it for 41. Yeah, It fits perfectly. No issue what so ever.

I know I'm getting off the topic of the OP, and I apologize, but...

Not looking for a scientific evaluation, but generally speaking, how much better is that battery? Is the increased life really that noticeable? I've been thinking of ordering it (even if it's not that much better it would still give me two batteries that I can swap).

Your last statement is correct, you can swap the batteries, and be perfect. My use of the phone is very random. Some days I use it almost non stop, but other days I set it aside. Yesterday I made it a little over 15 hours on an overnight charge.

In that 15 hours I did:

3 phone calls total 13mins
115 texts(in/out)
17 emails(all in)
downloaded 4 apps 1 widget
Refreshed my stock widget 7 times.
And played I dont know how many games of Cribbage.... I would guess 15ish.

I did turn off the GPS. So All in all Im very happy with the extended battery. This is also only the 4th charge on it. So it might get a little better. For me I dont recall the last time in the 12 years Ive had a cell phone that I wasnt around a charger for 15 hours.

Yes, it's significantly better. I can actually get through a 12 hour day with it, whereas the other I could't get through 6 hours. There's a bunch of feedback in the battery thread about it, if you'd like to hear more opinions and specific tests that were done.

I have had absolutely no problems with this phone. The connection is unbelievably fast and the overall experience is light years from blackberry. I had BB for the last 4 years

Thanks for the anecdotal feedback, I might have to pick one up. My usage varies extremely day-to-day also haha.

Thanks. I knew there was another thread on batteries and battery life. I'm glad you've seen such an improvement. As I said above I think I might have to get this one now.

Very fast indeed. The phone itself is very fast when it comes to loading apps, processing requests, etc., but when you're browsing on WiFi I couldn't believe how quickly it loaded full pages. Makes me wonder why people even worry about 802.11n (at least on a phone).

I started out my day to test the new battery out. So the phone calls, Texting, downloads, emails are pretty exact. I did accidently erase a couple of the junk emails so those werent counted. :o When the store was slow I started playing cribbage, and lost track of the games. Yesterday was a pretty heavy day for me.

True statement.

I use Gmail and Yahoo (Yahoo is more of my backup/spam/older account, and less important). The Gmail implementation could be better but I think it works very well (and it pushes Gmail to you). I have no experience using any Exchange email on the device though, if that's what you're curious about. My only major gripe regarding the Gmail app is you can't select/copy text in a message you're reading. Also, though less significant, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to hit "reply," there's no Menu > Reply as on a BlackBerry, and the reply button isn't stuck to the bottom of the screen, but allll the way at the end of the email, which is sometimes a pain. Luckily the screen scrolls quickly with a flick.

Yeah, it's odd that they didn't implement copy and paste within the Gmail app. If copy and paste is that important to you, you can always set up your gmail account in the native mail app and you'll get copy and paste functionality there.

Yeah I know. It's not a huge deal always, just something that I occasionally would like to have. Another workaround (I assume this works though I haven't tried it) would be to just go to Gmail through the browser for those few times that you need to copy something.

Ex-BBStorm2 user here (and I had the storm1 before, and had two LG touch phones before that).

This is by far the finest touch phone I've ever had. And I've played with iPhones--and this is better.

Yes, the battery kinda sucks. But the phone is so thin I'm waiting for an extra large one with a new back and it'll be perfect!!!

Had an iPhone, tried the Pre Plus & just dumped my Storm for the Incredible. I'm not looking back. This thing IS Incredible! Yes, the battery seems to go down faster than my Storm. Still it is nowhere near as bad as my Pre Plus. It seems to be getting a little better with each cycle. Maybe I am just not playing with all the cool features for hours, like I did the first day. LOL! As for email, I used Gmail anyway & started used the forward to Gmail tip for my POP/IMAP emails too. Seems to work fine. Didn't matter which browser I had on my Storm, they all sucked for surfing the web. Don't have that problem anymore!

The only thing I miss about my Storm is the BB ability to customize LED and email/text notification tones for individual contacts...definitely not a deal breaker.

my recent history of smartphones:
storm1->curve 8330 ->bold9000 ->iphone3g->iphone 3gs -> droid-> droid incredible

now i have had no serious issues with my device my battery life is average off the charger around 9am and texting emailing all day i make it to about 7 or 8 by the time i get the signal to plug into charger. no real glitches with the OS it far surpassed the storm 1 the curve and bold are great phones for people who need just messaging and the iphone was a great all in one device. the droid was good but did lag sometimes so far the incredible is the best of all these devices.

as far as signal i have yet to see over 3 bars except twice (had phone since launch day) and my average dbm inside is -80 to -88 but speeds have been very fast no connection issues never lost service and calls have been fine. so i cant remember if vzw is just not very strong in my area(monmouth county, NJ) or if it is the device, never had any issues with ATT.

I had the Blackberry Storm 1 and Blackberry Tour. This phone is in another level and I will never go back.

I am shocked at all the negativity coming from this device after watch all the great review vids. My Inc. is in the mail and I was absolutely stoked to get it. I am really getting second thoughts after reading all of these posts about Bugs. I was really looking forward to dumping my Storm into an abyss never to be thought of again and now it seems like I should hang onto it.

I've had nothing but positive results and experience with this phone. I'm coming off a top of the line WM phone and I am very impressed and happy - but still getting used to the new OS.

Storm1 convert like many others. I won't repeat all the positives, but on a side note with everything including GPS, live wallpapers etc turned on, well every option under the sun except bluetooth turned on I can make it through 5-6 hours using it strong and then can survive 8 hours rationing pretty easy. And I'm only on the 2nd charge of the phone.

I'm still debating on going ahead and getting the 1750 battery or wait and see if they make a 2100+ that will fit under the stock door. Does anyone know what will end up being the biggest battery with a stock door?

Anywho so far on my side of things the battery has been the only downside. I would like to be able to make it through 8-10 hours and still have 25-35% left on the battery.

As far as the O/S you have no idea yet. It's so nice not really having to worry about memory usage or finding free apps somewhere on the internet and all that garbage. I've been asking myself all day today, "why did you wait this long to come to android!". I won't be going back to blackberry for personal use again unless they make one heck of a new phone and have a market/app store to back it up.

It came early which is a silly! Got to play with it a little before it died :( But It looks great!

I can't say anything that hasn't been said in this thread already, but I was a former Storm 1 user. I never had any trouble with my Storm and I loved it. I didn't think that I'd really want or need to upgrade, but after playing and purchasing the Incredible and seeing the power that is the Android OS, I'll never switch back. Google for life.
