Wow it's crazy buggy

You choose the Duo over the Fold2 for pricing reasons?

So I wanted to add that I came back from Best Buy today after having to return the Note 20 case and they had the Fold 2 and it's a beautiful phone. However for me the form factor of the Duo is a no brainer. Fold vs the Duo felt clunky and thick. That's only because I been acquainted with the Duo thinness and just feels more natural in the hand.

I also don't necessary prefer the thin form factor when it was folded. Tall and skinny just personally didn't feel right. This is another aspect that I can appreciate the duo design with the folding hinge as to not have to compromise screen aspect folded. The 360 hinge is just a great design. That cover protector on the screen felt horrible also. Very cheap. I took my nail and slid across it and it's easily marked and I can see people wanting to take it off after use and it getting a dull look to it. Another personal opinion of why I don't like the "thin glass" currently being used on fold phone. So much taken to protect it because it feels cheap. Subjective opinion of course.

I really hate that the DUO was never given the chance at launch. Some of the that feel on MS poor launch of the bugs. Other on Tech reviewers dragging it through the mud. With as much phone I have gone through in my life, I haven't had a phone in a long time that I've truly enjoyed.

I was wondering the same thing but I imagine that's being said because it's not a strong as thicker/traditional glass panels would be. I think, for me it's durable enough for everyday use with fingers but certainly not with an S Pen or other pointed/hard object.
Do you think the concern would be scratching or cracking with a pen?

The coating they use to protect the glass is super soft. The feels rubbery. It scratched just rubbing my fingernail across it. It wouldn't survive a pen

Yeah. Scratching especially. The current screen & protector would likely get marred pretty bad by the S-Pen and many people are heavy-handed.

Yeah didn't realize they put a protective layer over the glass
It looks like its the same protector they used on the Note 10. The also put it on the cover screen on the Fold 2. Now Why couldn't they have just used the same material on the Note 20? I guess even if it only costs 5 cents per phone, that x 2 million devices is still a lot of costs for them to eat.

The Note 10 protector didn't scratch from using the pen.....At least not mine. I have a Ringke film type on my Note 20 until I install the WSD and it's spotless.

I doubt there be will be ever SD card slot given that they push office 365 services. Personally never cared for SD card slots and never used them even on my Samsung phones. But I think just like iPhone, Pixel etc Duo might not have a SD card going forward as well. I need to check my Fold 2 if it has one, never looked for it but think it's not there even on $2000 phone.
If the Sim tray has rokm for two sims, it can do a card and Sim. For a business oriented device it really should be 256gb and 512gb if it's going to be fixed. That said, I opted for the 256gb and will selectively move the essentials over from my Note 10+ and go from there.

And as I posted in another thread, people complaining about the bugs need to get a grip. You've been lulled into brainless mode by bland limited functioning slabs of phone ever since keyboard sliders became obsolete. You've forgotten what innovative tech can be like and what it meant to be an early adopter.

This isn't winmob or winphone. This is Android. The OS isn't going anywhere. This is one device, MS made. Their surface line gets great support and this shouldn't be any different.

Of course the specs aren't stellar. They needed to nail the design and pushing the envelope internally could have affected the aesthetics. For a first Gen device that is a big departure from the norm (despite a couple others that did similar designs that were big failures), I don't think it's all that bad.

And for the camera, I plan on putting the Google camera app on it as I doubt the lens setup is complete crap. It's probably more software related. Not like MS has years of recent camera app experience.
