Writing on my phone is becoming distorted

Whenever I try reading anything the screen will change so that all the words look like portions have been erased. It becomes nearly impossible to read.I took a screenshot. I'm not sure what the problem is or what to do about it. Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like a bad screen or a bad driver on the motherboard. Bring it into a good repair shop and ask for an opinion.
