X2 mobile hotspot question

So I really like this phone and am very new to the game but my question is do I have to pay extra for the mobile hotspot feature? Or just turn it on and go? Is there other options such as pda.net? How does pda.net work if it is a good option? Thanks in advance.

pretty sure you have to pay extra since you'd be tethering. i could be wrong though.

ye it's extra..i'm pretty sure it says right when you open it up
