Howdy folks. First post, been reading this forum for a few months trying to decide on a new phone. I currently have a BB Tour. Anyways, I've narrowed it down to the Inc2 and X2. Please help me decide on one. My most important feature other than a phone is web browsing. Thanks for any input.

I would have to say that the X2 would be your best bet if web browsing is your biggest priority, for the dual core processor in it will help speed up the rendering of the page and other elements. Hope I helped!

Sent from my Droid Charge

Web browsing on this thing is nifty. Since the Droid X2 and the Droid Inc 2 are both the same price, I'd have to say the X2 hands down. This thing should last a very long time, and will probably be able to make more use out of newer versions of android than the Droid Inc2

The droid charge is nice if you live in a 4G area..
For me it was a no brainer as we don't have 4G and wont see it till probably the end of 2013..

I ordered the X2 on amazon for $149.99, dual core + possible gingerbread soon, and 8gigs of onboard, + bigger screen mainly deciding factors. Anyone have suggestions on accessories? Plan to get the docking station already, thanks for the input!

Signal is horrible on incredible 2. I am thinking of going with the droid x2. Motos usually have a good signal

I got the Droid X/X2 Essentials Pack which is cheap this week on the verizon website due to it being the launch week. Matter fact, the just dropped the price even more then when I ordered it on Friday.

"All the essentials to enhance your Droid X/X2 experience in one box. Get a HDMI cable, multimedia station, navigation/music vehicle mount, vehicle power adapter and a wall charger! A $145 value. Makes a great gift!

HDMI cable
Multimedia Station with HDMI technology (includes wall charger)
Navigation/Music Vehicle Mount
Vehicle Power Adapter"

Is listed for $49.99 on my discount setup.

I went to one of my local verizon stores and picked up the Holster - Display faces in.

I left the BB tour for this phone also. So I needed to replace at a least what I had for that in a holster and desk charger. I just got my essentials pack tonight and been setting those all up.

Hope that helped.

Both are good at web browsing though. Although the X2 has a dual core and a larger screen, web browsing on the Incredible 2 isn't bad at all. If I where you would I would go to your local verizon store and check both out.

Thanks for all the input. So my next question is, should I root or leave it as is? I'm total newbie to Android.

yeah i wanted to ask you guys.. my og droid is extemely slow in loading pages and sending MMS pix messages. I get anywhere from 300 kB/s to 1 mb/s down and around 40-300 kb/s upload. I was hoping some of this slow-ness was due to my og droid being old and decrepit. Would the sending of MMS and internet work better and would I get better 3G on the x2 than what I am now? I live in a great 4G area so I wanted to wait for the bionic, but I'm losing my patients. I was considering the Charge too at this point, however I love motorola phones and they do take a beating fantastically. What I really need is the X2 with 4G!! :\ any help/ideas is appreciated.

I would recomend not rooting just yet if you get it. For the sole reason of that alot can go wrong and mess up your phone if you do something wrong. Yes the phone might be a little slower stock but there is nothing wrong with that, considering how fast both phones are.

Thank you thank you thank you, I went to verizon online and the essentials pack price for me was $19.97, so i jumped on that, I was going to pay more than that on amazon just for the dock itself. Now I gots to order a screen protector.

Your welcome. I had the zagg invisible shield on my tour, but after feeling it I opted to not put it on the X2, even though the Best Buy was pushing it on me along with other things. This thing has the scratch resistance Corning? Gorilla? Glass and it does not feel as suspect as a Blackberry. That is quite the deal on the essentials pack, as I paid 79.99 for mine and that was $20 off what it was before.
