Presumably since you're referring to Comcast and Verizon you reside somewhere in the U.S.? Approximately where?

You might get more relevant and accurate opinions asking around locally than here in an online help forum. Especially here in America where the carriers are very territorial, a carrier that works really well in some areas will suck in others. So I could state that yeah, it works out really well for me but that doesn't necessarily mean it will work out for you.

Yes. VZ towers plus most LTE partner towers. Missing some 3g rural areas. There is a coverage tool on their website. Check the areas that you front.
