Xfinity TV now available for Honeycomb Tabs

After a long delay, the Xfinity TV app has finally been updated and will now work on Honecomb. For me, this is the "killer app". It's so darn useful when running on the larger display of the SGT.
Just search for Xfinity in the market.

I just found it - but it doesn't do anything interesting like on-demand. I don't use the Comcast set top box - I use TiVo. Nothing very exciting here for me since everything this app otherwise would do I could already do from the TiVo web site. Would love on demand streaming, though.

Loaded and worked fine for me. Still needs to catch up to the iOS version but it's a good start.

No streaming. But the TV guide/schedule is sooo much easier to search than the primitive Comcast guide. The same goes for setting up recordings.

I've played with this app on the iPad and there are still a few features that the iPad has that the android version is currently lacking. But, it still is an awesome app IMHO

This is a perfect example of how screwed up the Google App Market is. You have a MAJOR media conglomerate releasing an app and it's NOWHERE to be seen on the Market page. I had to come here to find out it was released and then DO A SEARCH on the Market to find it. How screwed up is that??!! Google really needs to get their head out of their as* and straighten this out because it's becoming embarrassing. ITS NOT THAT HARD!!! Phew - rant over...

Sadly, the xfinity app will not work in my area (Virginia), because Comcast hasn't implemented all the Xfinity features here yet. They told me it was coming someday, whoknows when. I'm not sure technically why it matters what settop box i have if the video is streaming over the network anyway? Whzt does my home equipment have to with it?

This app doesn't stream video like the app for iOS. At this point all it offers is a way to program your DVR through a spiffy program guide. Also able to use the app as a glorified remote control for your box. So, yes, the set top box makes a big difference. BTW, this is the same path that Comcast used for their iOS version of the app too. They offered these basic features and then a few months later (about 5-6) - they added the streaming. Hopefully it won't take as long, but one can hope. Have to say though that this first iteration of the guide is miles better than the first version they brought out for the iOS version.
