Xperia XZ1 or XZ1 Compact?

Is there anyway to improve xz1 compact camera quality?

Not really. You can use an alternate app like "Manual Camera" but none of the third party camera apps I've tried so far has proven to be that mindblowing. Besides, you then have the camera button which will always open the Sony camera.

Mind you, I didn't buy the XZ1 Compact to actually use a a phone and that's - apart from the lack of OIS, wireless charging and an AMOLED screen - because I knew the camera would be complete rubbish. I've had a Z3 Compact before and I've given up on Sony actually listening to their consumers. We have been complaining about the sub-par camera since the Z3 and they still prefer to waste time on gimmicks instead of actually doing something about the quality.

That's why I have a Lumia 950 for a dedicated camera. T

Well, I have kept the S7 as my daily driver anyway.
And I normally have the Nokia 1020 at hand as well for photos. But still, if Sony didn't bloody slack, I wouldn't need to carry 3 phones around.

Yes I didn't buy zx1c for camera. I bought em for small form factor and good battery life. It's perfect for outdoor activity!

I got the XZ1 end of October. Having always Sony and later Xperias, it was no question for me to think about another brand. Before the XZ1 compact, I had the Z3 compact. I stick with this size, the compact, I want to use it with one hand only, often, the bigger one isn't handy enough for me. Also it's more comfy to put it in the back of the jeans, lol, without caring that much for it falling off. I'm a woman and probably that's why I prefer the compact one, haha. Smaller hands than men we have, right?

As a fellow woman, pocketability and one hand usage usually make me go smaller. I have long fingers so I can't relate to the smaller hands.

I am looking at getting the xz1 compact in green for my wife. I think it's an awesome phone, she LOVES the color...hates that it's not an iPhone. ha ha. I am going to get it and tell her she can use both! I am getting the regular zx1 in blue. Another awesome thing is that our fingerprint scanners work in Canada! woo hoo!

All of these Sony phones are hideous. Was looking at my old Z1 Compact the other day... man that was beautiful. And way slimmer than the toyish POS the XZ1 Compact is.

Sony are just awful at design these days it's infuriating. I don't know what happened.

Well...I'm a 1,85m man and I hate phones over 5". On the other hand I have a long time friend that is 1,50m and she loves phablets lol
