Xperia Z2: Available in the US on eBay?

Re: Available in the US on eBay?

Sony should announce it's coming out in May and they should have a Google play edition that would be a lot better.

I'm going to put a video on YouTube shortly. Unmoving and quick review.

Re: Available in the US on eBay?

FYI, I just depleted the battery to see how it charges. After an hour of charging, it made it to 31?.

73% @ 2 hours and 15 minutes.

91% @ 3 hours.

100% @ 3 hours and 50 minutes.

I was somehow able to get around the ridiculous purchase block by making a "best offer". It was accepted and, with luck, I'll have my Z2 between the 9th and 11th.

Oh yeah! That's how I bought mine too! I paid $860. Ordered Monday morning, arrived Thursday morning.

Awesome, which seller did you get it from? I saw there are couple of them from Taiwan selling the Z2 on eBay.

Re: Available in the US on eBay?

After 25 hours of moderate to heavy use, the battery is at 13%. This includes 6 hours and 10 minutes of screen time with the brightness at 100%. The auto brightness was in the whole time, but it didn't seem to change as far as I can tell. My old phone adjusted frequently. This data is wifi only. I have not yet used a SIM card in this device.

The speakers are pretty awesome in this phone. Sony's enhancement options work very well. The noise canceling system is pretty effective. When my wife sleeps, she uses a fan for background noise. As soon as I put the earbuds in, I thought she was awake, because the fan sounded like it had turned off. I didn't realize that the noise cancelation kicks in immediately. For some reason I expected it to work as soon as I played some audio. Given that I can use these without music playing, I'm tempted to use them at work to help focus. There are 3 different noise cancelation settings: Office, Bus, and Airplane. I didn't notice any difference between the three, but I also didn't have the ambient noise of a bus or airplane.

The earbuds are comfortable, and they come with 3 different size options to give you the proper fit. These aren't as comfortable as my Bose headphones, but those cost $100 and aren't even nose isolating.

I haven't figured out how to get solid photos yet. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I don't think the camera quality is quite on par with the competition. The photos look fine, they aren't bad. But I've seen how Samsung and Apple cameras look at 100% crop, and this camera doesn't seem able to be as crisp. However, at full resolution, you can zoom in pretty far before you notice any issues.
