So I just got my xperia z3, loving it but there is one thing that is bothering me.The home screen doesn't scroll in a continuous loop, is it me or are you just unable to swipe left/right continuously? for example, if I have 4 home screen pages I can only swipe from 1,2,3,4 and from page 4 to 4,3,2,1. I can't go from 1,2,3,4,1 or 4,3,2,1,4.

Any help would be much appreciated.

No, Xperia UI doesn't do infinite scroll, I also missed that coming from Samsung TouchWiz for years, so I decided this Sunday to try Nova Launcher (I've used it before) I liked the Xperia UI a lot but this and the Icon size and perpetual Google Now search bar made me see if I'd liked the Nova Launcher better on the Z3, and believe me, I loved it, no more Xperia UI for me.

I have it exactly as I had it in the Xperia UI plus tons of customization, infinite scrolling, I paid for the Prime so I have the apps and widgets notification counters plus I changed the icons to Lollipop one, better folders and the better feature of all, been able to backup all the home and drawer look, customization and settings, in case I need to reset the phone.

Fyi, the Google now search bar can be removed by long pressing the search bar and unchecking the box in the message that pops up. I had discovered this on accident and had to look it up to recall how it was done, but it turns out reversing it requires resetting the home screens according to what I found in a Google search.

I didn't want to add details but what I meant was that even when you can remove it as you can any other widget, then that area where is located can't be used so is even worst looking that way, so it basically force you to keep it there, so that's why I called it a perpetual widget bar.

Gotcha. I came from a droid maxx and to my knowledge, the search bar was not removable at all. So my perception of the context was based in this. I do agree that the space occupied by it not becoming usable is a shame. But I was happy enough that it could be removed as I used to accidentally press it all the time on my maxx.

thank you all for the replies, coming from a samsung user I was so used to scrolling continuously on the home screen. I will look into some launchers like the one you mentioned. Even now, I'm already used to the Sony UI.

The change from Xperia UI to Nova launcher is very minimal, like I said it even let you do things that you are used to do on Samsung's Touchwiz, but going from Touchwiz to Nova or any other launcher, is a lot more different and take little more time to adjust. I got used to Nova in a couple of hours, to the point that I put the battery o the Galaxy S5 and installed Nova on it and just restored the backup I did on the Z3, now both phones look very similar.
