Are you trying to log in using a Yahoo app, or one of the Yahoo websites, or the Gmail app that has your Yahoo email account added on?

Have you tried changing your password on the Yahoo account website?

I only use the yahoo website on my windows 11 pc. Should I try changing it there and will that change it on my phone and tablet? TIA

You should be able to manage your account and password using any browser. It's generally easiest on a laptop or desktop, rather than on a mobile browser.

My issue was caused by the complicated multi step verification process.
