I don't know why this problem is effecting some but not others because I set mine up on Friday and I have had no problems. It pushes my email just fine.
Yahoo mail issue with new EVO 3D

im sooo annoyed by this also, i have 2 yahoo accounts, 1 solely for work the other for personal that i use alot......guess which one wont let me see my mail.... correct, the one i want to work wont and the other one works without a hitch, just my luck. so how does that make sense? shouldnt they both not work??? help please!
I have had the same issue. I took my phone into Sprint today after dealing with it for two full days and the guy didn't even TRY to fix it......he asked me if I had my contacts on Gmail and I said yes, he then took my SD card out of the back of my phone and handed me a new one. After 2 days of figuring out the REST of my phone, all that hard work of dowloading and filling out logins was all for not in a matter of 30 mins. I got home and guess what.........same problem. After reading the forums I am hoping that they will get it fixed soon. Looks like I will have to forward my email to my gmail acct at this point. Sucks. But then again, there are ALWAYS kinks with the first batch of gadgets......gues we now know what the kinks are with the 3D EVO!!!
It's not just the Evo 3d, my frines 4G does the same thing, if anything, I think it's a problem with Gingerbread because for him it started right after he installed the Netflix fix update.
im glad to hear im not the only one with the yahoo. mail problem. On the yahoo app can you manage your emails? I can see how to delete or move my mail to other folders. If this the best they have? Are there other apps that will manage email better? help please
Once again , its a known issue.. I work for sprint, and currently the only thing you can do is use the yahoo app. Several devices are having issues with yahoo mail, not just the 3d. Sit tight and im sure a fix will come eventually, until then, use your yahoo app.
I also spoke to a Sprint rep last night (after trying every trick out there). They are very aware of the issue, in fact the rep said that they have been getting calls all day about the EVO 3D. I was told to use the yahoo mail app for now (which is not that bad) and Sprint is trying to work with Yahoo to resolve the issue.
Mine just worked for the first time...kinda caught me by surprise since it hadn't worked since I bought phone on Friday...haven't done anything different, it just worked by itself...

Tried setting up my Yahoo mail account again just for sh!ts and giggles and it decided to work. Now sure if it's permanently fixed or if it'll break again but for now it appears to be working.
Still silly that the option to push Yahoo mail isn't present. Can only do "every 5 minutes". Kinda ridiculous.

Well whaddaya know, mine works now, too. Although, I can't access old mail prior to June 15th.
Guess guess doing things for "sh!ts and giggles" works better than doing things on purpose?

Ha! True true. Just out of curiosity, did you make sure that under your Yahoo mail account > Account Settings > Send & Receive > Download options is set to All? I think the default might be 14 days which is why you may not be seeing emails prior to June 15th.

Have you tried the yahoo mail app that's in the market. That gives you push like the gmail app.
No problem. I too am coming over from a Palm Pre. I still love that WebOS. But, like I'm sure you are aware, I could only wait so long.
For what it's worth I am loving the EVO 3D.
I did try that app. Honestly... not a fan. I much prefer the stock app. I really don't understand the lack of true push though with the stock app.
My yahoo account is suddenly working on the native email app. I deleted the account about 5 days ago and just used the yahoo app (from the market), and after seeing that it was working for someone else (from this thread), I added the account back to the evo's stock email app. Glad to have yahoo working normal again.
Mine is working too! Thanks so much for keeping up on this. I did not like the other Yahoo! mail apps. Couldn't get any of them to send notifications at all...
