Yahoo Mail notifications

I have yahoo Mail and GMail. The notifications on my GMail account work perfectly on the RAZR MAXX HD, but the Yahoo notifications do not work. There was a Y! Mail update last year that caused some notifications not to work (they said it was issues with their servers), and my phone was one of them. My wife had the same problem, but a subsequent update to Y! Mail fixed her problem.

I have gone from a RAZR MAXX to a RAZR MAXX HD since the problem started, and the problem continued onto the new phone. When I select the notification tone, it plays, but when i receive new mail, nothing happens.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

I had the same issue, although I had the Notification checked within the App setting (using the menu button on top left of the App), Jelly Bean was still blocking it from the notification since I didn't have it checked there. Here is what you need to do. Exit the App, then go to the App info screen (where you are able to Force stop, Clear cache, or uninstall the app, etc..) once there make sure the "Show notification" is checked. That should solve the problem, it did for me.

Thanks. I went there, and it was checked already. I unchecked it, exited, went back in, and checked it again. I then sent myself a message, and got no notification.

I may completely uninstall the app and then reinstall it.
