YANDEX -help! how to get rid of!

Please help. Dumb I went to twitter & looked up WikiLeaks... no prob. I have lookout & Avast on my note 4... But today YANDEX bar is on my lock screen & all other screens. I have not installed anything. Please help remove it or what do I do?

Yandex is the Russian equivalent of the Google search engine. Coming from Russia and installing itself uninvited, I'd be getting it off my device fairly quickly. That said, there are people who use it outside of Russia..
In any case, if you can't uninstall it from applications in settings, boot the device up in safe mode and kill it from there.
Make sure download from unknown sources is OFF in your device!

Unfortunately, when Ihad my phone in safe mode.. It STILL was no where to be found. Not listed anywhere BUT on lock screen as a magnifying glass in upper left corner. Then when I hit settings it was there as a search bar like googles on android. Til held finger on it then flipped over to I thought next app. It was an app id been using for over a yr. SAVEFROM to save videos. Only thing I did right before this thing appeared was go to Wikileaks on twitter etc....So not really a coincidence .....
In safe mode this morning I'd finally gone into Save app & turned off notifications etc & the bar was gone then uninstalled app. Have no idea if totally gone. I ran Malware Bytes..before I did that & after & nothing could detect it. . Am hoping is gone. Thank you for your help~
