So with the underwhelming reviews people are giving to Samsung's Galaxy S4 (only because it's not a huge step up from the S3, not because it's a bad phone) and the larger support from Google, do you think this is the year that Googlerola makes another comeback?

I say yes, if they make the phones more streamlined (but still strong), and market correctly.

I think the X phone has huge potential, depending on which parts of the rumors turn out to be true. I didn't like the article saying that the phone isn't trying to include the "top-of-the-line" hardware. I don't necessarily need to have the ABSOLUTE newest/fastest/best phone, but I don't want to buy something I plan on having for close to 2 years if it's not at least close to the edge of technology. However, subsidizing the phone and promising updates without carrier approval would be awesome. And making it customizable, allowing for you to prep the screens and download apps before it arrives, all while shipping within a week? Those rumors sound too good to be true.

So, I think Moto has a real shot at being the big player this year, but it's really going to fall heavy on this X phone. Google folks (for reasons I still don't understand) already trashed the Moto team and their product line that hasn't even been released yet, so who knows...

If Motorola can release the next generation of the MAXX HD with a couple of innovative features and stay true to the massive battery they will have a winner. How about a 5.25" phone with a 4,500mAh battery, advanced camera tech, rock solid Motorola build quality, and a few other cool bits?? They would knock it out of the park.
