Yellow hue in photos help!

Hey guys,

I'm rocking a T-mobile 128gb blue note 9 and it takes takes some nice photos! However recently shooting inside my house I realized my photos are coming yellowish in indoor situations, as if the white balance or tint isn't calibrated properly:

I've attached the photos below(the yellow tint variant is taken with my back cameras, while the proper color one is with my front).

The photo w/ the yellowish tint was taken with my back camera, however taking it with my front camera...there's no tint! I also used my mom's iphone 7 camera and there was no tint as well, meaning for some reason my note 9's back cameras arent using the proper white balance.

Only was able to find this post that was similar, and in that thread they're discussing the note 4....

Is there any fix? Using pro mode and adjusting the white balance helps a bit, but it doesn't help with other photo apps(say snapchat). My photos still come out yellow...When I take photos with flash however, there is no yellow hue.

I don't think it's a hardware issue cause theres plenty of detail, I just think something is establishing an incorrect white balance on my rear cameras.

Might be due to your lighting, do you have lights that put out a yellowish light. There are many types of lights, some put out yellowish light and others put out a bluish or natural white light. These usually are called daylight lights. I get different results myself depending on which light I use in a particular room in the house. Also the picture color can be affected by which direction the light is coming from. Using the flash puts out a more natural daylight color which overrides any yellow light source that may be coming from a light putting out a yellow tint

So yeah, my lights ARE a bit yellowish BUT I've never had any phone give me any issues with them. They've been able to normalize and produce a white balance....and reading about the note 9 prior to buying my phone, it was praised for it's accurate auto white balance.

Which still doesn't answer this question, why is the front camera able to produce a normal white balance with a light that is sorta yellowish? But the rear gets it way too saturated? My moms iphone 7 was able to produce a normal white balance as well using the rears.

Just worried if I had a defective unit...but also a little disappointed if this is 'normal'. Don't mean to sound stuck up or anything, but if other cheaper and older phones can do it properly, why cant the note 9 as it's the 'android flagship'? I haven't gotten the camera update yes, as t mobile's latest update is from sept. but idk when that comes if it would change this? I wanted to say it was some sort of sensor issue but if you're getting yellowish photos too...then it may just be normal.

EDIT: Forgot to write that I can see the yellow tint in your photos, assuming you had a more 'yellow' light. I am assuming we would get the same results in the same room.

Bit off topic but just curious, how are you able to change the color of your lights? You have some sort of special LEDs in those lamps?

No I meant your lightbults were able to change color or you replaced them w/ diff ones for the purpose of the test?

Regardless, if youre using yellowish lights and getting similar results perhaps my note 9 isnt defective? haha

noticed when i shoot in pro mode, and save raw and jpeg photos, the jpeg is oversatured/white balance off and the raw one is a lot more...realistic.
