Up until recently, I've had really good battery performance. But for a few recent weeks I've noticed more battery drain, and a longer time to recharge. Today my battery was down to 33% and it took all day to charge. I was trying to think what changed. One significant thing was I bought a different stylus, one that is reversible and becomes an eraser. In order to use this stylus, I turned off the detection feature that causes the stylus sensor to turn off when the stylus is in its port. I'm not sure if this was coincidence or not but it seems like that might have been where things changed. Of course I also added a couple new widgets at the same time.

I've switched the sensor back on but now because of the rather silly placement of the stylus port on this model (bottom of the tablet facing down?? really..what were they thinking), it means I have to take the tablet out of the charging stand in order to pull the original stylus out of its port. Ideally it would be great to have a toggle on the screen to flip the thing off. Might this be possible? Perhaps a way to have tasker control it?

Also, does anyone think I'm on the wrong track? Would this cause this strange performance? Also, should it really take all day to charge from 33% up to 100%?

I turned pen removal detection back on and so far it is indeed looking like that was the root of the significant battery drain.
So now if there is any way to get a quick toggle on the home page for this it would be good.
