I've been in contact with the developers for the Dark Sky weather app, which is probably an app that predicts when it's going to rain. Shocking, right? Well, it actually works crazy well. Like, down to the minute for your exact location precipitation forecasts. I've played with it on a friend's iPhone, and it's great.
Only problem is that there is no Android app, and the developers don't have the funds at the moment to bring it to our awesome platform. What they do have is an API, which is open to anyone who wants to use it. I'm no developer, but I thought that I'd try to spread the word a bit about this app - after emailing the developers of the API and the iOS app, they are very open to allowing an Android port.
You can find the website here, and learn about their API here.
