You can now disable the Bixby button

additionally you can turn off voice and it wont do anything. I didnt realise there's a story about this in the main AC page.

Looks like I don't have that update yet. Mine says latest version installed, but home is version 2.0.02.1 and voice is version 1.0.09.6. I can get to the screen shown above, but I do not have that option.

Same here.

It doesn't matter if it says up to date. You have to look at the version number.
Ok well I don't have the option. Here is my version.

Will this also disable the Samsung Notes app? That's the only useful Samsung app I can think of, since no other apps support S-pen input.
Far as I know it only disables the things you select to disable. So be sure to select only the things you want disabled. I only use it to disable Bixby

i dont have the latest update and theres no option to update it. is there a way to force an update?

Really easy to not have bixpy pop up on its own. By default it is set to listening and you have a sensitivity option as well as on off. I have mine set to off for listening and I activate by button only which for me seams to be about impossible to trigger accidentally.

How did you get to that menu setting?

Worked yesterday, as in Bixby doesn't launch if button pressed.

Even though setting is still ticked to "off", Bixby is starting right up again at the slightest touch of the button.

I guess some of us are out of luck.

Check the article below.

1) Press the Bixby button.
2) If prompted to accept update, update Bixby. (If not, see alternate instructions below.)
3) Slide Bixby key toggle to off.

That's it! The Bixby button should be completely disabled now, so accidental presses shouldn't do anything. Rejoice! But what if you're not prompted to update Bixby, and that toggle isn't at the top of the screen when you open Bixby? Because the app automatically updates, you may not get the prompt, so here's how to disable the Bixby button from the settings.

You could also try BXActions app. I intend to do just that with mine. I don't want to have to sign up for it just to stop the button from working, either.

I just set this up using PC! I used Package Disabler Pro to block Bixby Home.

My Bixby button now toggles the Flashlight with no lag or Bixby screen flash everyone talks about... I was impressed enough to purchase the Pro Version! My only gripe is that when you choose screenshot as the action, a Chromecast logo pops up and it sometimes wont capture anything. I can live with that until it's fixed!

I actually like Bixby. i just don't understand why Bixby home opens on a short press. It is left of the home screen already. i am getting used to holding the button and controlling parts of my phone.

I can't disable Bixby button...

On my AT&T Note, I press the Bixby button and when it brings me to the Bixby screen I do not have a gear icon at top right of window. I have the 3 dots and pressing that will show settings option but there is no Bixby Key in settings with toggle to turn off.

It's showing Bixby Version 2.0.02.1 and says updated and can't force an update. Am I forced to wait for a higher version?
