You Tube App

I cannot get the You Tube and Google accounts to link. This seems to be an app only problem, as through the browser if works fine.

Using the app when i try and sign in with the google account credentials already there it says I have to link the accounts but how ??

If I try and physically sign in by typing in my account credential it will not sign in as it says that the account is already in use.

It seems like a classic " going round in circles " authentication or catch 22 problem. The google accounts were only created yesterday so it cannot be an issue with an old account.

Any ideas ?
