My cruise on the Carnival Inspiration to the western Caribbean, back in summer of '03, two weeks before i met who would later be my wife.

It's the only cruise i've ever been on and i'd love to go on another, but i can't convince her.

She used to say to me (whenever i told her we should go on one), "Remember the Titanic?" And now these days, with all these crazy mishaps lately on cruise ships, it seems like i'll never be able to talk her into it. :(

?? Come one, come all, hop on the Lllllllama Bandwagon! FREE POPCORN!!! You'll need it! (bring your own Babycakes)

OK, this was awhile back but I was probably 10 years old. My grandpa, dad and I went on a hunting trip (big surprise). I had been hunting with them before this, but this time we would be gone for 10 days into some family land in West Virginia. It was tents, sleeping bags, and cooking over a fire. The only food we took was some Jerky, dried fruits etc. Other than that we ate what we killed. I killed my first big buck (14 points)on that trip. Dad and grandpa helped me carry back to my uncles farm and string it up but I gutted and cleaned it myself. (No ceremonies involving drinking the blood or anything like that). My uncle took a section of the hide and made me a sheath to keep my gun in, which I still have both the gun and the sheath. That night we went back out into the woods and had fresh venison cooked over a campfire and honestly no deer has ever tasted as good.

All things considered my dad and grandpa were 2 of the best men I have ever known. I wish my dad had lived long enough so he could have been the wonderful grandpa that I had to my kids.

As for cruises, I spent six years in the Navy as a Boiler Technician. So yes maybe someday it would be nice to go on one where I didn't have to work 16-18 hours a day and then have to choose between eating a meal or getting some rack time.
