Your Opinion - Connectivity/Reception on the Pixel 9 Pro/Pro XL?

For those with the 9 Pro or the Pro XL, what is your opinion on the data reception/ signal?

My two most recent phones have been the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 7 Pro. The 6 had absolutely dreadful data/cell reception, and the 7 Pro is significantly better, though I do still often find myself trying to hold my phone in a certain spot to catch reception. I'm probably going to upgrade to the 9 Pro XL and I'm curious if the antenna is better or if it struggles with reception, too.

I have had the same carrier since before my Pixel 6 and I had lower-tier phones than my Pixels, and reception was never an issue until I had Pixels.

Pixel 6 was a nightmare, one of many issues I had. Pixel 8 (I can't remember 7) acted up a few times randomly but nothing serious, guessing it depends where I am.

Google changed the hardware or just software improvements on Pixel 9?

There's a new modem in the Pixel 9 series which makes a lot of difference.

question pixel 9 pro xl I purchased an open box one from Best Buy. and had to return it. when on a phone call people could hear me clearly but I had a hard time hearing them. has anyone had this issue? and if so did you find a fix for it? I order another one from Google hoping I don't have to return it.

Since you didn't mention your provider or relative location, the only way I can think of you losing signal by simply moving is if you live near and your phone uses mmWave towers. VZW usses them, not sure about ATT and T-Mobile sparingly in comparison.
mmWave signals can be interrupted simply turning around or putting a piece of paper in front of it.

May not be the case for you but worth mentioning
