I hate that currently you have to sit out one ad in full and then wait for the skip button or play out the next one.
I agree the money is way too much, seeing as Amazon Prime/Video is 8.99 here.
I finished another YT free trial period and will look out for another.

Still, we have to help fund Russel Brand's £1m p.a. YT revenue so he could continue to employ two travelling chest hair consultants, if he is ever cleared. 🙃

I moved this from Ask A Question to General News & Discussion.

Personally, I find the cost to be fine since I also really like YT Music Premium, and find it better than Spotify in many respects. But if all you want is YouTube Premium, I agree the cost is a little high. I wish Google offered more tiers (including a big overall package that includes YouTube TV, YT Premium, and YT Music Premium).

If you play the ad for a few seconds then back out and jump right back in it will often skip the ads completely.... or at least give you a smaller 6 second ad 👍 I don't use the YT app though, so not sure if it works for that.

And I have stopped updating the YT app on my devices, because the rare times I do use it, I noticed all the updates were doing was finding more ways to crowd the screen with ads 😲

I find the price to be reasonable. I have the family YouTube premium plan so it gets used by many people. I watch a lot of things on YouTube. Not just tech related videos but a lot of documentaries and vlogs.

I was going to say you make a fair point a little earlier, and now I looked and see it's 12.99 in the UK.

I could swear it was 17.99 or 18.99 when I last looked, so now it doesn't seem bad; though I won't indulge in my current climate.

That's two cups of coffee less per month though, and I don't think my system could cope!

Yeah, it's a bit like when you think someone is going to kick you in the face, then they only kick you in the gut, and that doesn't seem so bad.

BBloody ripoff.
