youtube app notification

on my note 3 youtube likes to play games. sometimes i receive notifications for new uploads. sometumes i dont. anyone else encounter this or no

Are you saying that you do want notifications but sometimes you don't get them or that you don't want notifications but sometimes you do get them?

If it's the latter, did you check to see that the setting for that is still unchecked and didn't get reset? I have notifications unchecked in my Youtube app and I've never received a notification.

But if it's the first one that you wanted then I can't be helpful here because I've never had the box checked so I don't know how reliable it is.

Seems more like YouTube apps at fault. Hope they fix things soon

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but I've run into this problem FOREVER. I can't figure it out. I've tried managing/re-managing/over-managing my YouTube subscriptions and channels in order to enable/disable notifications, all to no avail. Some work, some don't. It all seems so arbitrary.

Anyone know why this might be happening? (4.4.2 kitkat)
