Youtube missing highest quality option.

[Android Central Question]

Woke up one morning and noticed all my youtube videos are missing the highest quality option. Tested this against my wife's phone. So basically if a video has an option for 1440 mine only shows an option up to 1080. If it's up to 1080, mine only shows an option to 720. If it's up to 720 then mine only show and option to 480 ect... Even weirder I was watching a video and youtube auto started playing it in 720, but when I clicked on quality it only showed options up to 480. I didn't change anything on my phone. Went to bed one night and it was working then woke up the next day and it was like this. S9 running on Verizon. My wife has the exact same phone and version of the app and hers works fine.

Have you tried cleaning app cache or data?

Yep tried clearing cache and data, disabled and re enabled, uninstall all updates. No luck.

So fwiw I figured out the issue. Disabling the nav bar on the s9 using one plus gestures app is what caused it. With the nav bar turned back on my quality options are back.

One more thing to add...I went into youtube with the nav bar turned on, selected a video and clicked the 1440 option and with the video still running disabled the nav bar again. After this all videos have the highest quality option back even with the nav bar removed. So I'm definitely confused...
