Youtube no longer responds to incoming notifications!

Phone: ZTE Grand X 4, Android 6.0.1

So recently, my phone will no longer bring up the Youtube app when I click on a Youtube notification in my phone. The Youtube app will come up if you manually start it, no problem, it just doesn't come up when clicking on an incoming notification from Youtube. Any idea what can be done?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this still happen after clearing the YouTube app cache/data? If so, then try wiping the cache partition: ZTE Grand X 4 Z956 - Recovery Mode - HardReset.info
