The YouTube app is slow as hell. Even on wifi videos sometimes take like what seems like forever to load up. Videos browser load up in like 3-5 seconds so I know it's not the connection speed. Does anyone else have this issue? If so, have you found a solution for it?

HQ videos on Wifi load up instantly for me. On 3G they take longer but that's to be expected.

I think its just common knowledge that app itself sucks. Hell, even Google would probably agree.

Uh, do i have a special droid x?
Youtube app works great for me, fast and even better when i'm hooked up to wifi

It worked really slow for me when I first got my phone but all of a sudden when I was using it last night it loaded about 5 times faster and and the videos played right through.

I too have never had any problems with the YouTube app. The app itself loads quickly and the HQ videos load quickly on 3G and even quicker on WiFi.

I've never had an issue with mine either. Id like to know what type of coverage area people are in that are experiencing bad load times. Granted the app does suck, but i've yet to have an issues.

App works great for me. Videos load up almost instantly over WiFi and still pretty quick on 3G. Not sure why people are having a problem.

Huh, I've been really pleased by the YouTube app. No problems, fast to load, etc.

Mine is bad too. My old 3gs was many times faster! And used to enjoy going to youtube on my phone. Now I don't bother, because waiting for it to start gets really old and I don't want people on other carriers to see how bad mine is.

well it seems more people than not have good success with it.
so it's not a "low quality app" or bad app.
it works great for most of us.
perhaps this is down to 3g quality in your area or wifi incompatibilities.
I do know that you have to change the setting in the app to do high quality audio or on 3g it will be no existent.. but as soon as i did that. it worked great on 3g (always worked great on wifi)

Try going to settings in youtube and changing to play hd quality by default. This helped me a lot
