Youtube red inop

I have a note 8 and youtube red. When I cut the screen off 10 mins later youtube stops. I have to turn the screen back on and click play on the wake screen. I'm used gear s2 watch and Bluetooth headset. Any one else having this problem? App monitor is off and have keep data on in saver settings in the YouTube app.

Any power-saving modes turned on, or 3rd party battery-saver apps installed?

Maybe this.. Go to battery settings, scroll down to bottom where it says unmonitored apps, open that and add YouTube to it. Don't know, but worth a shot.
