youtube won’t start on my samsung android tablet

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung tablet GT-P1000 with Android version 4.0.4. I installed YouTube successfully several times but every time I click on open it says a new version is available on play store and asks me to click on install button. Once I do that the entire process repeats again.

Am unable to use YouTube as a result....pls help!!

YouTube is no longer supported on your OS. Google dropped support for Ice Cream Sandwich a couple months ago, you won't be able to use YouTube on that device.

Google also dropped support for Play Services, as time goes on more apps are going to break and be incompatible.
