Yulong Coolpad recovery for legacy

I just got the Coolpad legacy and when I looked online to my surprise there is very little info on the subject of root for this device

Help???

Such is life when buying a device that isn't mainstream for most of the world, root and 3rd-party ROMs are either slow to materialize or don't come out at all. There are 2 reasons this might happen - the folks that find the exploits and do the builds may simply be unable to obtain the devices, and even if they can get one they may feel like it's not worth the effort for the number of people that would benefit.

When I use fing to discover devices on my network it lists my phone as xiaomi mix???
Does that mean I can try too method even though is a Coolpad legacy?

No. You need a specific root method for the Coolpad Legacy.

Exactly, and if all else fails try the PC version of KingoRoot (NOT KingRoot).I successfully used it once to root a very old retired Alcatel (manufactured by TCL) phone. Works like a charm, but privacy is not guaranteed (it is Chinese software, but again probably no more invasive than your Chinese phone's OS) and the root management app looks like a kludgey mix of a standard SU manager and Max Cleaner.
