z Fold 3 / Flex Mode / Notification Bar

Is there a way to hide the notification bar on the Z Fold 3 I'm flex mode?

If I recall, in the past, the only real way to manually hide the status bar is to Root.

I have not tried in a long time, but I don't think you can hide it when not in full-screen.

I think nova launcher has an option to hide status bar.
