Z987 keeps rebooting itself when i text

I recently installed an update from ZTE themselves and now my phone keeps rebooting itself. I thought it was randomly at first but since then I've noticed it always happens when I'm texting. Now before this I was having issues with error 491 in Google Playstore. That is why I installed the update. It solved that problem but now I'm faced with this new really annoying one. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen in Safe Mode? How to turn on safe mode on Zte Grand X Max+. Safe Mode disables 3rd party apps, so if it doesn't happen in Safe Mode, then something you installed is probably causing the instability (possibly due to not being completely compatible with your latest system update).

Also, try wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. Follow the steps here, but instead of selecting Wipe Data, make sure to select Wipe Cache Partition: How to perform a hard reset when my ZTE Grand X is unresponsive
